Literature Text

Her cheeks bend the corners of her eyes
Into eagle wings when she would smile,
Thinking twice of me, then flies my way,
Warmly perched on my desires awhile,
Yet her footsteps have now been lifted:
She had been headshot, the man bolted,
And her mortal form, just then, exalted.
This poem was somewhat inspired by this woman's picture: ladymuffinart.deviantart.com/a…

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEE (a fun rhyme scheme that allows freedom, a break from rhyming in lines 1, 3 and 5).

I call the form this poem is written a Debonair Septet - explained here: vicariousoul.deviantart.com/ar…

When beauty meets devastation it is the most memorable moment. When writing this poem, it's as if it happened there before me.

Enjoy.

A gorgeous bit of rhyme.  It goes well with the photo.
